First 50 entries for DMACK Carlisle Stages
The
first 50 entries have been received for the 2015 DMACK Carlisle
Stages (Saturday 13 June) in just two weeks following the
publication of the event regulations.
The rally will feature three major championships: the REIS/Ravenol
BTRDA Rally Series, the MSA English Rally Championship and the
West Wales Rally Spares R.A.C. Rally Championship. The event
will also be a round of the S G Petch Association of North East
and Cumbria Car Clubs Stage Rally Championship and the
Association of Northern Car Clubs Forest Challenge.
“We’ve been delighted with the early response to the DMACK
Carlisle Stages,” said Clerk of the Course Nicola Heppenstall.
“To have over 50 entries with over five weeks to go to the rally
is a fantastic start and we’re really hoping that we’ll get to
the maximum entry of 150 cars.”
The event offers 43 stage miles in the Kershope and Newcastleton
complexes for a competitive entry fee of £470. The entry fee
reduces to £420 for Rally First contenders for the first BTRDA
event in Kielder for over 20 years.

The Roger Albert Clark Rally Motor Club will run a compact event
based close to Carlisle using superb stages. The rally will
again be based at the premises of the R J Murray & Sons Haulage
Company in Longtown, Carlisle and will cover 43 stage miles and
just 99 road miles. Only eight miles of stage will be
double-used, thus ensuring the best possible road conditions.
The first car will start at 8.30am and be back at the finish at
around 3pm on this compact event.
Scrutineering and documentation will run from 2pm until 7pm on
Friday afternoon.

Pirelli Preview
Brian Kinghorn, Deputy Clerk of
the Course the Pirelli Carlisle Rally writes:
On behalf of the Cumberland
Sporting Car club may I offer our congratulations to all the
category and class winners on the Mid Wales Rally, but whether
you were a winner or not, I hope that you enjoyed the event. We
are now the next event in the BHRC and RAC, that concentrates
the mind, so I thought I would take this opportunity to bring
you up to date with our plans for this year’s rally.
We are delighted to be part of
the Mintex MSA BHRC and the West Wales Rally Spares RAC
Championship, along with the Motoscope Northern Historic
championship we hope to see a mouth-watering display of historic
cars gather
in Carlisle on April 25th. Our
format has been designed to make competing as convenient and as
cost effective as possible, we are very aware that a lot of our
entries will come from the south,
be that Wales or England, we have tried hard to design the rally
to reduce time away from home and work to as little as possible.
